Here are some pictures from our trip to the School Playground, we haven't done much lately as in traveling saving up all our moola! We did visit the Ledyard Fair, one reason was to see the "redneck olympics"...definitely reneck it wasn't even fully planned out. I did however enjoy watching it towards the end and also enjoyed the tracker pulls.
It's going to be bittersweet to leave CT but we are ready for the next chapter. We will miss friends we have made in CT but I am sure at some point we will all meet up again. The hard part now which I didn't include above is for me to start packing what we will live on for the next few months (in GA) and set it aside. I have posted some about it on facebook. Ryan's orders are for Virginia so the Navy will only move our HHG (House Hold Goods) to Virginia....no we are not moving there. The HHG will be put in storage until we receive the new orders or Change of Home port certificate. We have to buy a few things for the house anyhow so instead of spending the excess mileage to ship our HHG to Georgia we decided to buy the things we need and use them until our main HHG arrive. So what does this mean for those that visit in the next few months?? That means that we will have limited dishes, furniture, clothes and no decorations. Anyone is still able to visit but remember your sleeping bags!!
This past weekend, I was invited to go out with my friend Tara's FRG to the Drunken Palette. We were painting a sub on canvas. At first I was skeptical cause I have no painting talent but it was fun and not as hard as I imagined it to be. I am very impressed with how it turned out. Leave it to me to forget my phone so my friend took some photos for me. Here are the ones taken mid painting and finished product. I can not wait to go back and also take the kids. And yes, we started with a blank white canvas!
