Our Home being Built....

So I flew out to Georgia (well Jacksonville, FL) to pick out the lot, colors, etc for our new home.  I also got to spend the weekend with the Johnson Crew.  Here are pictures of the locations, colors, etc in case you guys wanted to know....

I home will look like this but with the colors we picked out.  This is just a computer generated photo.
This is the First Floor - we did the Optional Gourmet Kitchen & Optional First Floor Bedroom.

This is the Second Floor - we did the Optional 2nd Floor (Laundry Room upstairs & the Bedroom w/ Optional Bath).

Okay so what we got being built is a 5 Bedroom, 4 Bath w/ 3 Car Garage.  Yes probably way more than what we need but we do plan to have this home for awhile even if we can't live in it for more than 3 yrs.

Here are some colors I picked out...I can not wait to see how it all comes together.  Only thing I didn't get a photo of was the carpet (It's Ivory but with a Grey tint) and brick for the outside of the house (Brownish Brick)

Counter tops - Sand Stone Color

Flooring in Kitchen, Baths & Hallways

Brown is the House Color   -   White is the Trim Color  -   Green is the Door & Shutters

Walls

Here is what the vacant lot looks like and I got to go put the SOLD sign out. I also copied the Aerial View from Google Earth.  It was nice to be able to show Ryan and the girls where we will start building, it was more of a visual for them.

Hard to explain but our house is sort of Diagonal to the House currently there...the Red in the back is a  Gas Station or Store.

Another View of the Property

This is the Subdivision Sign...

Aerial View of the Subdivision - it's not a big one but definitely convenient to everything which is only 2 exits up from us.

I hope you enjoyed the pictures and information.  We are super excited to get building and see the finished product.  For those wondering, they will pull permits, etc which takes 6-8 weeks and after that we survey the markers and next the building begins.  Thank goodness we have wonderful friends willing to help us if we need it by going by taking photos, walking the area, etc.  The house should be finished by Mid Oct. 2012.

My friend Tracy took these photos so I thought I would add them to the end of the Blog since I already published it.  Thanks Tracy!
